In 1987, when India’s construction industry had no unified benchmark for waterproofing, MK Dhawan made a decision that would reshape the industry for decades. He founded Dhawan Associates — not simply as a business, but as a commitment to protecting every structure India was building.

Over 35 years, he built Dseal into India’s most trusted expansion joint system, forged authorized partnerships with the world’s most demanding brands — Fosroc, Sika, BASF, Asian Paints, Dr. Fixit — and established The Waterproofers Association of India, the body that sets the technical standards the entire industry follows today.

His expertise is not theoretical. It is built from three and a half decades of structures protected, partnerships built, and an industry elevated — one standard at a time.
